I don't suppose anyone has seen my Warden?

Cassie, I believe. Roughly my age. A little taller than I, yellow hair? Painfully cheerful?
divine_right: (can't believe it)
I want to discuss my bending with you.

I want it restored. Fully. I know none of the other fire benders from my world have been so affected by the lack of sun, here, and it's no surprise to me that this was something done to me, personally, to "keep me in check."

But enough is enough.

I have worked tirelessly to hone my skills to the level that they were before I was brought here, and the longer I go without properly exercising it, just as my body would lose its agility if I did not move about, so too will my bending abilities weaken.

You have absolutely no reason to deny this request. Since I have been here, when I have had my abilities restored to me, I have not harmed anyone. I have not abused any return of my bending in any way. The only thing this place is doing by weakening my abilities is making me more vulnerable. People from my world are not the only ones with the ability to control flame, as you well know, and at present, I am the only one on this ship without full access.

This place is stupid. We build much bigger ships where I come from.

There's only one other firebender.

And a public bath? My grandfather would raze this place to ashes if he knew how you people were treating his only granddaughter.

Oh, you must be joking, Admiral.

(ooc: Azula has become a fire ferret. I ran out of ideas. So have cute and un-dignity.)

divine_right: (do we have to talk about this?)
Not that I believe you're listening, Admiral, but I hardly required reassignment.

[There is a sharp intake of breath, and she makes a face at something on her vanity. She picks up what appears to be a chocolate chip cookie.]

Well, perhaps you are listening. Since I have your attention perhaps you'll tell me the name of your superior officer. If you're an Admiral, you must have one, a monarch at least.

[Her eye flicks to something on her vanity again, the only indication that viewers will get that he probably just gave her another cookie.]

Fine.

An epidemic of -- what, headaches?

Is this supposed to be clever?

(ooc: Affected? Doubtful.)

That last breach: can anyone tell me whether they found that world to be especially familiar? I'm finding I remember a good many things from it, and I thought I should ask. It's information that could come in handy later, no?

[Does she look like she's just a little disgusted with that world, and in remembering it? It's not that she's not a petty person. She just hasn't been in the 'gossip' game for some years now. She has more important things to worry about now, after all.]
divine_right: (I can't imagine)
Oh dear. Someone appears to have made off with the gift my father sent me.

Perhaps I should have posted a warning them about the curse I placed on it.

...I really don't know why some of you think it's so funny to steal from me. It doesn't make you better, just pathetic.

Oh well. I suppose I'll have to write home for another.

In the meantime, whoever you are: I hope you enjoy boils.

(ooc: Just posting for the sake of getting at least ONE of my characters into this breach. Assume Azula has things nicked from her trunk all the time. No idea why. Never settled on who. IM me if you want to do something with it.)

divine_right: (stoic)
In the spirit of fraternity, my Warden is staging a little get-together in a few days [insert actual time here], and I have been charged with the task of inviting suitable guests. If you can read this, then I probably do not find you insufferable, and you are therefore invited.

You will attend, eat my Warden's food, and have fun -- whatever your definition of that happens to be.
divine_right: (do we have to talk about this?)
What a pathetic little girl. Ungrateful, spineless --

It doesn't matter.

What gives this Admiral the right to change us like that? What purpose is it meant to serve? And are we really meant to believe these are just random occurrences? He's clearly waiting to see who cracks.

[Private to Buffy]

Get your preaching out of the way. Tell me all about how I'd be better off like that person so that I get get the laughter out of the way.

[It's Azula but...not Azula. Her hair is not bound up in its usual tight, coordinated fashion. There's something immediately off about the body language, only slightly less confident perhaps, but it's more noticeably less rigid. She has the look of someone who has only just begun to calm down after something startled them. Given how other flood-affected people have come about, it can be assumed she's started to get over the initial shock of not being home]

I understand this is to be temporary, so without much explanation, I just want to know one thing, if anyone can answer it for me. [There's some mild hesitation, there, but she bucks up quickly.] ...Has a man named Ozai ever wound up here? As an Inmate, I mean? [It would tell her whether or not he's dead, at least.]

(ooc: So Flood!Azula's father was exiled instead of her mother. The result is someone less Inmate worthy and more well on her way to becoming one if somebody doesn't nip that in the bud.)

divine_right: (triumphant)
[Someone appears to have given their Warden the slip, and as she appears on camera, she is thoughtfully considering her bare hand -- which quite suddenly bursts into blue flame. A wicked, triumphant smile passes her lips.]

Now that's more like it!

We'll stay a while, yes? I would so love to mingle.

It would seem that my dear brother has gone. I'm only surprised because I would have thought he preferred life on a ship.

[Private to Buffy Summers]

Perhaps I've simply grown so accustomed to your constant presence that I failed to even notice you have not looking over my shoulder of late. Is there a reason you're in the infirmary?

So uh -- I notice the tutors don't seem to've stopped along with the rest of us. Lessons cancelled, right?

[Filtered to Pretty Much Any of the Teenaged Members of the Cast]

I know everybody probably wants to run their lines, but does anyone want to do something fun while we've got the opportunity?

(ooc: For the duration of this breach, Azula is Caterina Long, who is very very very new to the business. This is actually her first major role in anything, before this only appearing in local television and on youtube videos she posted of herself singing. She auditioned for the show because she watched it obsessively, beating out thousands. She's generally very sweet and intelligent, but very shy and unsure of herself when she's out of character, not at all like the person she plays. Since she is actually 15 years old, she is among probably the few who has to see a tutor daily to keep up with her schooling while on the job.)

That last stop was such a waste of time. Not a single challenge to be had.

[That last part was said with such an unconvincing little chuckle. Since she's not exactly waiting for the masses to rise up and agree with her, here, she'll just move on to the next subject.]

So I suppose that bump wasn't the signal that we were stopping again. How often does this ship put into port, anyway? I'm hoping the next stop won't be such a disappointment.

...Because that last place was boring.

(ooc: Azula and Buffy actually did not make it into port. The Barge was cut off right as they were about to disembark. And yes, she is flood-affected, to be the WORST LIAR EVER. She now sucks at it.)
divine_right: (Default)
[Meet Azula, at long last. After leaving the infirmary, she had the arduous task of finding her room, as she understood she had one. It required locating a door that looked familiar to her. Since then? She has found a journal, and she's figured out how to use it, and she's been watching all of you, quietly collecting herself, and preparing to address the Barge as a whole. That time has finally come, and save for the fact that her hair is tied back fully away from her face to hide the cutting she's had to do in order to make it symmetrical again, those who know her may recognize that she's very nearly as she was before her unfortunate end. Forcibly so, in fact.]

Clever. I'll hand this elusive Admiral that much, at least. If you want to cage a Fire Bender, completely removing the Sun would definitely be the first step to take. [She shrugs, her body language suggesting conversational coolness] A bit extreme, you must admit, but I'd love to know how exactly he managed it.

[Pfeh. Waving that off]

Not that it matters. All of this will change once this ship lands somewhere, and I'm led to understand that this happens quite regularly.

[She steeples her fingers in front of her thoughtfully.]

But for now, I have questions. Particularly to do with what happened a couple days ago.
